The Nursery Director will be an important part of the growing family ministry at St. Philip’s, with particular responsibility for the Sunday morning care of infants and toddlers. The Nursery Director will work in conjunction with a rotating group of nursery volunteers to create a caring, fun, and safe nursery environment for St. Philip’s youngest children. St David’s Episcopal Church, located in the West Meade area of Nashville, TN, is seeking an experienced childcare staff member to provide care for children infant to 5 years of age during Sunday morning programs. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, have previous childcare/babysitting experience with references, and be certified (or willing to receive certification) in infant/child CPR. Specific training and education in early childhood education and development is preferred. Hours are 9:00 a.m. – noon, every Sunday. Having a Sunday off is always possible with advance notice. $16.50 an hour, paid for 3 hours minimum.

The Financial Administrator works as part of a small team in the offices of the Diocese of Tennessee, using their skills to facilitate and support the work and ministry of the Bishop and the 45 congregations and other institutions of the Diocese, and to enable and encourage the ministry of the clergy of the Diocese. In addition to overseeing the finances of the Diocese including being the primary liaison with the Diocesan accounting firm and serving as point person for benefits in the Diocesan Office, the Financial Administrator serves as a resource for clergy and lay leaders in congregations and other institutions throughout Middle Tennessee, helping them ensure they are following best practices, and often serving as an interface between them and representatives of churchwide institutions such as The Church Pension Fund and Church Insurance Agency.
